As part of my role as Community Missioner at Abingdon Baptist Church I saw an ideal opportunity to be involved with the Town Centre Chaplaincy, getting to know the people who live and work in the town. I have been part of Chaplaincy teams in both Oldham and Southport and seen how the communities there appreciated and benefitted from the church becoming accessible in this way. I have found people here to be extremely friendly and welcoming and hope that we can serve the town effectively in providing a listening ear and friendly face.
